Maria Montessori demanded a school
system that supported the childrens abilities regardless
of their level, long before the support of gifted children
was as known as it is today. Montessori did not consider it
possible for didactic teaching to be adapted to the individual
strengths and weaknesses of all the children in one class.
She regarded the abolishment of a curriculum and the complete
individualisation of the learning process to be the only chance
to create the optimum development conditions for a child.
